Early orthodontic care is not about putting young kids in braces. It is about watching development and stepping in at the right moment, which is often earlier than parents expect. The American Association of Orthodontists recommends a first orthodontic check by age 7. By then, enough adult teeth have come in for us to spot issues like crowding, a crossbite, or a jaw that is growing unevenly, while there is still time to guide it simply.
Crowded, overlapping, or blocked-out teeth as adult teeth come in
Baby teeth lost very early or very late
A bite that looks off, such as upper and lower teeth that do not meet evenly
Mouth breathing, thumb sucking past age 4, or trouble chewing
If you notice any of these, mention it at your next visit. Catching things early often means simpler treatment later.

Around age 7 is the general guideline for a first orthodontic check, but you do not need to wait for that. We watch your child's bite at every routine visit and will tell you if an earlier look makes sense.
Many kids just need monitoring, not treatment. The goal of early care is to catch the small number of issues that are easier to fix early, and to reassure you about everything that is developing normally.
We handle the early stages: watching development, holding space, guiding habits, and offering Invisalign for teens. For full braces or complex cases, we coordinate with a trusted orthodontist so your child's care stays connected.
For many responsible teens, yes. Clear aligners are removable and hard to notice, which teens appreciate. We will evaluate your teen's smile and tell you honestly whether it is the right fit.
We’re honored to serve the next generation of healthy, confident smiles. Whether it’s your child’s first appointment or their next routine checkup, we’re here to help.
